Following devestating loss to Seattle, 49ers look to replace Harbaugh in trade

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the New York Jets and Oakland Raiders are both lead candidates to pick up Harbaugh, though at this moment any coach trading deal lacks substance as Harbaugh still has one year remaining in his five-year contract with San Francisco, and he would have to agree to a trade.
Help provide kids with the quality learning tools they need.
But Oakland is most likely because Harbaugh began his coaching career there in 2002-03 as a quarterbacks coach following his 15-year career in the NFL.
With his 13 years coaching, Harbaugh has never left California, taking stints at the University of San Diego in 2004-06, Stanford 2007-10 and then the 49ers.
ESPN is also reporting that the 49ers are not going to make any decision on Harbaugh until the season ends, and many believe his contract could be extended if San Francisco can clean up their act and rally for a run in the postseason.
With week 14 coming up the 49ers stand at 7-5 following their blowout, 19-3 loss to Seattle.
Under Harbaugh, the 49ers have a none-too-shabby record of 48-19-1 including postseason games. Prior to his hiring in 2011, the team stood at 48-82 and had not made the postseason in eight years.
