LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The Pope urged men to listen to women more. He advised all to pay attention to women's ideas and not be so male chauvinistic.
"Women have much to tell us in today's society. At times we men are too 'machista' (macho)," he said, adding that there weren't very many women represented in the audience.

"(We) don't allow room for women but women are capable of seeing things with a different angle from us, with a different eye," the Pope continued. "Women are able to pose questions that we men are not able to understand."
The Pope expressed that the only question he received during his stay, which he could not answer, came from a 12-year-old girl.
"Why does God allow bad things to happen to us when it's not our fault? Why do a few people help us?" cried Gyzelle Palomar, a street child.
Pope Francis has been previously known to celebrate women. He acknowledged "the indispensable contribution of women in society, in particular with their sensitivity and intuition toward the other, the weak and the unprotected," during a speech to an Italian women's group a year ago.

"So when the next Pope comes to Manila, please let there be more girls," he ended.
Pope Francis added that while the Roman Catholic Church's ban on women priests is definitive and something out of his reach, he plans on appointing more nuns and other women to senior positions in the Vatican, according to Yahoo News.
